Job Description

Member of the IT Team. Member of the development team.

Responsible for developing new web, desktop, and service applications in a primarily Microsoft Windows environment to support business and manufacturing requirements.

This includes researching, designing, implementing, and managing software systems. Candidates must be willing to learn additional skills/languages to support legacy systems and new technologies.

Supports operations and office staff through the development/maintenance of reliable information systems that allow users to access data quickly and easily as well as interpret the data to make informed decisions.

Duties And Responsibilities

Writing, implementing, and analyzing code and data.

Testing and evaluation of new programs.

Support of existing applications / systems and develop new applications.

Data extraction and reporting utilizing SQL

Database design

Process mapping.

Specification gathering.

Troubleshooting miscellaneous problems as they arise.

Research new products / methods of development.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

3 -5 years of experience using Microsoft development technologies and tools (.NET Framework, Visual Basic, ASP, Visual Studio, Team Foundation Server, SQL Management Studio)

3-5 years of experience developing relational databases using T-SQL

Ability to act as a business/system analyst in gathering specifications from end users

Experience using reporting tools such as Crystal Reports

Experience in system integration

Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus

Experience with LEAN and Continuous Improvement concepts is a plus

Will at times be exposed to a heavy industrial manufacturing environment.
