    SUMMARY

    Reporting to the Head Coach, the assistant coach will be responsible for supporting in the organization and management of the program. This individual must have strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills in order to teach/ coach, recruit and deal with others. This is a part-time position with no benefits. Duties are primarily during the sport's season with recruiting and some administrative responsibilities during the off-season as directed by the head coach. Employee is encouraged to have current First Aid, CPR and AED certification. If they do not come in with it, they will be required to be certified by our athletic training staff.

    Total Students Directly Supervise: Team

    SPECIFIC DUTIES INCLUDE*
    • Assist with the coordination and administration of all aspects of the program as directed by the head coach.
    • Assist with the recruitment of student-athletes who show potential to be successful in the classroom and on the field.
    • Serve as a positive role model and encourage good sportsmanship.
    • Demonstrate a commitment to the further development of the program in keeping with the philosophies of Rosemont College, the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC), and the NCAA Division III; abide by the policies and procedures thereof.
    • Attend all practice sessions, team meetings, and games unless otherwise agreed upon by the Head Coach.
    • Be prepared to provide van transportation for the team as needed. (Successful completion of the Rosemont College van certification testing will be required).
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach and/or Director of Athletics.

    QUALIFICATIONS
    • Bachelor's degree required and coaching experience at the college, high school level, and/or club setting preferred or collegiate playing experience.
    • Ability to effectively teach and coach students in both a team and individual setting.
    • A commitment to providing a positive role model and leadership to the team as well as excellent communication skills are required.
    • Ability to effectively interact with a wide variety of people in a manner that positively portrays the College and its programs, personnel, and philosophies.
    • Must possess a current driver's license valid in the State of Pennsylvania and a driving record insurable by the College's insurer.
    • Successful clearance of a criminal history record check.
