We are seeking a full-time Senior Accountant/Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in a hybrid capacity. While this role is based in McLean, VA, it offers flexibility to work remotely part of the time.
The Senior Accountant/Accounts Receivable Specialist will handle day-to-day accounts receivable functions, including financial reporting, invoicing, account reconciliations, and keeping track of payments.
In addition, the role will involve assisting in month-end close processes, ensuring general ledger accuracy, and compliance with financial regulations while supporting overall accounting operations.
QualificationsProficiency in Accounts Receivable processing, invoicing, and account reconciliations
Strong understanding of financial reporting, general ledger functions, and month-end/year-end close processes
Experience with financial software and accounting systems, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail for accurate financial reporting and compliance
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification or progress towards certification preferred
Experience in government contracts or defense sector accounting is a plus
Ability to work both on-site in McLean, VA, and remotely as part of a hybrid work arrangement
