    What's the Job?\r

    We want growers to know that when a Wilbur-Ellis Custom Applicator is on the job, they can expect the safe and legal application of plant protection and fertilizer products.

    That means proper calculating of product and carrier quantities and proper mixing and application of plant protection and/or fertilizer products using various types of application equipment.

    Absolute Musts:
    \r

    \r
    \r
    \tBe familiar with all laws and regulations governing pesticide application\r
    \tHaving a commercial driver's license with endorsements for Haz-Mat and Tank vehicles is a plus\r
    \tComprehend basic measurements and calculations for calibration (gallons per acre, and acres per tank)\r
    \tHave a working knowledge of all application equipment\r
    \tBe able to accurately locate the application site\r
    \tPossess or obtain the Qualified Applicator's Certification license and attend all required safety training meetings\r
    \tComplete bi-annual medical exams\r
    \tParticipate in a DOT random selection for drug and alcohol testing\r
    \tParticipate in a 30-day blood test for Cholinesterase Monitoring\r
    \tReady to work odd hours during peak season (6-7 days, 10-14 hours, depending upon crew assignment, may be day or night)\r
    \tReady to travel to other branches, meeting locations, or customer farms\r

    \tProper application of fertilizer and plant protection products\r
    \tProcess work orders against scheduled dates and time\r
    \tComply with all applicable laws and regulations at all times\r
    \tFollow all Wilbur-Ellis Company safety rules\r
    \tLift containers weighing up to 80 lbs\r
    \tCoordinate the use of the equipment and make sure that it is returned in good working condition\r
    \tPerform a pre-trip inspection before leaving the yard\r
    \tArrive at the correct job site without undue delay\r
    \tProperly complete necessary paperwork (application records, shipping papers, driver daily report, and all info on work orders)\r
    \tProperly handle and store all chemical containers\r
    \tEnsure that equipment is repaired or serviced to avoid delays in equipment availability\r
    \tParticipate in blood testing and/or alcohol testing when scheduled\r
    \tPerform necessary maintenance and repair on equipment\r
    \tAssist as needed around the plant\r
    \r

    \tIn compliance with all states and cities that require transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $ $28.41 per hour.
