    Territory Manager FOR PORCH ENCLOSURE SYSTEMS - Missouri/Iowa/Nebraska/Kansas preferred based in greater Kansas City, MO

    Marketing our products under the SummerSpace brand, we are currently seeking to add additional talent to our outside sales team, functioning as a Territory Sales Manager.

    This is a Business to Business only position, selling through distribution channels that include lumberyards and exterior building products distributors.

    We manufacture and wholesale our products, and do not sell direct to any consumers, contractors, or online. We are looking ONLY for long term career minded individuals, not just the next stop on your resume.

    This position is responsible for servicing our existing customer base along with a strong emphasis on growing sales through new dealer development.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • New Business Development
    • Management of Existing Accounts
    • Territory & Account Planning
    • Forecasting
    • Market Analysis, Trends, and Competitive Intelligence
    • Routine Customer Contacts
    • Product Education Trainings
    • Installation Training and Field Service Assistance (when necessary)
    Additional Responsibilities

    • Identify New Market Segments
    • Regional Tradeshow and Dealer Events
    • Utilize and Maintain CRM System for Contact & Project Management
    • Promote and Support Factory Tours
    • Team Selling with Dealer Representatives
    Experience and Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree Preferred
    • 5 Years of Experience in an Outside Sales Role
    • Experience in Building Material Sales and Installation
    • Experience Selling Materials through Distribution
    • Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills
    • Presentation Skills to Small and Large Groups
    • Excellent Analytical Skills
    • Ability to Read Blueprints and Construction Documents
    • Prioritize Activities Focusing on New Business Development and Customer Service
    • Mechanical Aptitude
    • Ability to Lift up to 50 Pounds
    Successful candidates require maturity, reliability, integrity; strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. This position requires daily travel within the assigned territory with the expectation of approximately 25% overnight stays. The role requires very high energy, multitasking, and the love of selling and building long term relationships. We build our relationships face-to-face, not through texts and emails.

    Consistent visits with decision-makers, category managers, counter personnel, and outside sales, while meeting with building contractors onsite for presentations or installation training are all part of our daily routines.

    Product knowledge training, contractor breakfasts, lunch and learns, and tradeshows are part of our everyday lives as well.


    To be successful, in person communication is key, as well as a mechanical aptitude as it relates to window and door products.

    You must be a self-starter, a team player, have the ability to work independently, and be comfortable prospecting. This position requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management. We produce value-added products that require consultative selling skills. We have a rock-solid reputation, excellent customer retention, and take pride in on-time, no excuse deliveries.

    The company provides a Ford F-150 quad cab pick-up truck with company graphics for business use only. Feeling comfortable driving this type of vehicle is a must. We are all about professionalism from appearance to performance.

    This position is demanding, and not a starter position. Compensation is commensurate with experience and potential for performance increases. Along with having a clean driving record, a background check will be done.
