    Salary Range: $65,000.00 To 70,000.00 Annually

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    Under the leadership of the Vice President Branch Operations, the Director of Operations will be responsible for the successful overall operation of the branch including membership and program, operation, budget, staff leadership, and financial results for the Edison Branch Y including the off-site summer Camp and Outdoor Pool facility at Oakcrest.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    1. Ensure all health and safety guidelines are strictly adhered to.

    2. Provide supervision and leadership to all Branch Directors to ensure sound operations and program advancement.

    3. Monitor monthly financial status, including membership and program income, expenses, cost controls and revenue opportunities.

    4. Develop and manage overall branch budget.

    5. Provide leadership to branch growth through program expansion, member recruitment and retention.

    6. Foster a climate of innovation to develop member and community focused programs which support the Y mission, goals and strategies.

    7. Ensure the overall safety of the facility.

    8. Work closely with the Vice President Branch Operations in developing and working with the Branch Board of Managers.

    9. Give leadership and oversight to the Branch Annual Support Campaign.

    10. Give leadership and support to association-wide fund development efforts and events.

    11. Ensure the building and all programs are within all YMCA standards and that all local, state and federal regulations are met.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    · BS/BA degree or equivalent education and experience in related field.

    · Five years proven supervisory skills or relevant work experience.

    · Knowledge of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.).

    · Facility management experience.

    · Budget development and management experience.

    PHYSICAL REQURIEMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

    · Must be able to meet deadlines and act professionally during difficult situations.

    · Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    · Must be able to conduct presentations in front of groups of people.

    · Must be able to use a computer effectively.

    · Working conditions are normal for an office environment, with sitting, bending, lifting of normal office work.

    · Work may require frequent weekend and evening work.
