OverviewTalentFish is casting a line for an Azure Cloud Engineer.

This direct hire role is hybrid in the following locations, open to remote but it's least preferred:
Baton Rouge, LouisianRosemont, IllinoisCedar Rapids or Des Moines, IowRemote (least desired).What You'll Do, Overview.

This is an exciting opportunity for our growing and premier client The role of the Cloud Engineer will be responsible for the design and implementation of Azure architecture, components, and environments.

The Cloud Engineer will be expected to have experience with managing a cloud environment with via scripting / coding when appropriate and as a preference.

The Cloud Engineer will demonstrate knowledge of Cloud Architecture best practices, Cloud Security, Cloud Infrastructure monitoring & tuning.

What You Bring to the Role. (Ideal Experience)

5-7+ years of experience as a Cloud Engineer, with strong Azure experience (Azure experience must be recent, within 1 year).Experience designing Azure environments and resources.

Experience creating templates to deploy Azure resources.
Experience with Azure private endpoints.
Experience documenting systems and configuration.
Experience creating and maintaining PowerShell (or other language) scripts for environment management.
Insurance industry experience preferred but not required.

Candidate should have mode of the following experience:
SRE (Site Reliability Engineer) / DevOps mindset & experience.

Understand Infrastructure as Code / Configuration as Code and environment management via code pipelines.

Infrastructure as Code / Scripting / Coding.

Candidate must demonstrate Scripting / IaC (Infrastructure as Code) experience.
Use of IaC / Scripting technologies such as (Terraform/ BICEP).RM Templates.
Source Code Management usage for Code and understanding of GitFlow principles.
Preferred -

Experience deploying IaC code vi pipeline / tooling versus using the command line on their local workstation (with YAML and AZ-CLI - the Azure Command Line interface).

State Configuration Management (Windows primarily and Linux a plus).

PowerShell DSC (Desired State is a plus.
Intune.

zure Compliance / Policy Management using one of the following approaches:

Pipelines (YAML/AZ-CLI).IaC (BICEP/Terraform/etc.).RM Templates.


zure Monitoring/Logging:
Conceptual knowledge of observability platforms and experience in platform. Azure experience as listed below is Monitor.
Understand the data source ingestion for logs and metrics and the data tools in Azure Monitor.

nalytics (Log & Metric Analytics).Insights (App Insights, Containers, etc.).Integration (Logic Apps, etc.).Response (Alerts, Autoscaling, etc.).Visualization (Dashboards, PowerBI, etc.).

Workspaces/Workbooks.
Experience with Log Aggregation solutions (Splunk, AZ Sentinel, etc.).Use of Azure monitoring to aid infrastructure sizing and cost management.

Private Endpoint Services.
Network Security (Azure Firewall, Service Firewall, NSG, WAF).

zure Storage Solutions - Management and security:

zure Databases (Az-SQL, Cosmo DB, etc.) - Management and security.
Storage Accounts (ADLSv2) - Management and security.
Data Analytics Solutions (ADF, Synapse, etc.) - Management and security.

zure AD and Identity Management:
zure AD (Entr plus).Conditional Access (and access controls in AAD).Privileged Identity Management.
Enterprise Apps/App Registrations.
Modern Auth methods (SAML/OAuth 2.0/AADB2C).Graph API.

zure App Services - Management and security:

Web Apps.
Function Service Service Plans.
Key Vaults.
Storage Accounts.
Security Products for Web Apps - WAFs (Azure WAF and Cloudflare).

zure Backup (plus for Azure Site Recovery).Excellent attention to detail.
Strong written and oral communication skills.

Effective listening and interpersonal to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

Strong customer service orientation.
