    Job Summary


    A well-known company is seeking an EHS Manager for their Indianapolis location to meet the needs of their customers nationwide.

    Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the plant's Environmental, Health, and Safety programs to ensure minimal impact on the environment and a safe work environment.

    You will lead a team of employees, providing support for EHS programs and delivering training to managers and employees on safety and environmental practices.

    You will also play a key role in developing a facility-wide EHS culture through technical support, program development, and partnerships.

    Responsibilities
    Manage all aspects of environmental, health, safety, and sustainable development programs.

    Promote plant safety, environmental responsibility, and sustainability stewardship by collaborating with all departments to assess the current situation and recommend improvements.

    Ensure compliance with government regulations, corporate guidelines, and environmental requirements.
    Support accident investigations and prepare required accident reports.
    Conduct inspections and audits to identify and address potential hazards.
    Facilitate the Safety Committee process through active participation and resource support.
    Handle initial Workers Compensation functions.
    Provide necessary compliance training to meet OSHA, EPA, and company requirements.
    Requirements
    Bachelor's degree
    At least 5 years of industrial safety experience
    Minimum of 3 years of EHS management experience
    Understanding of and ability to interpret OSHA, EPA, DOT, federal, and state regulations
    Experience in conducting risk assessments and audits
    Food process manufacturing experience is a plus
