Description
Mary's Woods is looking for a Lead Server with exceptional communication and customer service skills to supportour Food and Beverage department.
As a Lead Server, youwill be leading a team of servers and serving mealswhilecreating a clean and beautiful table for residents and guests to enjoy.
You must be able to relate positively and favorably to staff, residents and familiesand enjoy working on a team while continuing to promote our mission and vision.

Support the training of team members to ensure consistency in oursteps of service
Providedirection and guidance to all front-of-house service staff and resolve guest issues encountered by the service staff in absence of a supervisor or manager
Demonstrateknowledge of menu offerings including daily specials, soups, desserts, and our beverage program
Demonstrateknowledge of food sanitation, workplace safety, housekeeping procedures, and food service techniques
Complete opening and closing duties as well as appropriate side work as designated by established procedures
Communicatewith managers on department matters and concerns involving residents, employees, other departments, safety, and sanitation
Assistin the set-up of tables and the seating of residents
Must be courteous at all times, taking resident food orders, serving food, bussing tables, and resetting table once the resident has departed
Must maintain a pleasant demeanor and demonstrate excellent communication skills
Other duties may include those of Host, Barista, and Bartender with some guidelines and etiquette specific to those duties, additional training will be provided
Education and Experience Required:
Minimum one (1) year of serving or front-of-house experience required
Minimum six months of leadership experience in restaurants, hotels or retirement preferred
