    The Sr.

    Web Systems Developer will develop new capabilities within the content management system (and its associated integrations with third-party platforms) and maintain those of crucial importance.

    These responsibilities and actions, including the ability to solve complex performance problems, will be the driving forces behind connected website provisioning, improvements, upkeep and compliance conformance.

    This role will provide ongoing technical strategy and support for the Craft CMS and custom websites after they are deployed in production, as well as actively work to migrate acquired sites into the CMS and maintain/update those that continue to live outside the strategic CMS.

    Web Systems Developer will participate in requirements gathering and analysis, specification-setting and design creation of new websites; partner with IT regarding infrastructure strategy, needs and issues.

    They will intimately collaborate with our third-party developer vendor to build, deploy, integrate, replatform and retire websites.

    Primary Areas Of Responsibility Include


    Act as the in-house Craft CMS development SME and modify the platform based on user and stakeholder patterns and needs.

    Use a deep understanding of PHP, Yii and MySQL to mold the CMS to the audience and company requirements.

    Develop front-end code, when needed, using best practices for HTML, CSS, Vanilla JavaScript, jQuery and AJAX while remaining up-to-date on all latest technologies and W3C practices as they evolve.

    Collaborate with Creative and UX to address any layout or UX issues.

    Partner closely with the IT team and agency partner(s) to integrate and support back-end functionality through third-party APIs, protocols and other tools for building integrated web applications (with systems such as Salesforce, Pardot, LearnUpon, CVENT, et.

    al.) from testing to release and maintenance.
    Maintain and deploy onsite tags through tools, such as Google Tag Manager.
    Own the configuration and behavior of OneTrust to ensure appropriate adherence to data privacy regulations.

    Work with the other members of the Web, as well as IT and agency partner, to complete work in a prioritized, scheduled, timely manner.

    Develop responsive code for mobile solutions with an understanding of iOS and Android platforms.

    Act as a liaison with Dev Ops and app development partners to counsel and/or create standard backends to support apps and websites alike.

    Drive updates and troubleshoot issues on legacy PHP websites, as well as their connections to backend product databases.
    Review content to ensure accurate rendering across various operating systems and browsers and debug where necessary.

    Attend meetings with staff and management to review progress, update teams on new projects, address any concerns and review action items.

    Participate in cross-functional team planning; representing development needs alongside user experience, visual design, product marketing, application development and QA resources.

    Develop and implement updates to enhance rendering times and overall performance.
    Seek out user data and site performance analytics when developing solutions.
    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
    Minimum of 7+ years of web development experience, including project planning, development, testing, and implementation.
    Must have a proven expert knowledge of object-oriented PHP programming, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and SQL.
    Proficient with code versioning tools.
    Experience with web services (REST and SOAP).
    Experience with LAMP stack, Azure and AWS (to a lesser extent) preferred.
    Experience with PHP-based CMS platforms such as Craft CMS (preferred), WordPress or Drupal required.
    Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while working collaboratively with other functions/departments (i.e. Marketing, IT, Operations, etc.) and agency partners.
    Demonstrated expertise in web site development, testing, integration and maintenance across a wide variety of technologies and disciplines.
    High proficiency in spoken and written English.
