Description
A Level II trauma center that often functions as a Level I is seeking a trauma surgeon for locum tenens coverage. About 50% of the patients on trauma service are admitted to the ICU. The EMR is Cerner Care B.
In Redding, California, you can enjoy the stunning outdoors by hiking the scenic trails in Whiskeytown National Recreation Area or exploring the picturesque Sundial Bridge.
The schedule is 24-hour ED call coverage (coverage shift is 7 a.m. to 7 a.m.). Required procedures include open and laparoscopic abdominal surgery, removal or repair of bowel, liver or spleen, vascular surgery or able to recognize, manage with backup or manage for referral. The clinician should also be able to interpret appropriate diagnostic imaging studies.
