    Sayres is seeking a Mid-Level Program/Project Manager with Secret, verifiable in DISS, located in Washington D.C

    Requirements:

    • Deliver safety subject matter expertise and support to the NAVSEA Mine Warfare Program Office (PMS 495)
    Develop and maintain a culture of hazard identification, tracking, and risk reduction for PMS 495 acquisition programs and fielded systems
    Work in a team environment to meet client challenges and analyze new solutions using analytical techniques and referencing statutory, regulatory and policy analysis updates
    Build and maintain essential relationships with direct clients and supporting commands

    Qualifications:

    • NAVSEA-qualified Principal for Safety (PFS)
    • 18+ months full-time System Safety Engineering (SSE) experience.
    • Completed Web-Based Interactive Safety Environment (WISE) training catalogs A, B, C, and D.
    • Completed the following Defense Acquisition University (DAU) web-based courses (or replacement DAU courses, if superseded):
    • ACQ 1010 Fundamentals of Systems Acquisition Management
    • ACQ 2020 Intermediate Systems Acquisition, Part A
    • CLM 031 Improved Statement of Work
    • CLM 058 Critical Thinking
    • ENG 101 Fundamentals of Systems Engineering
    • ENG 201 Applied Systems Engineering in Defense Acquisition , Part I
    • ETM 1030 Requirements Definition and Analysis Fundamentals
    • ETM 1040 Technical Management Fundamentals
    • ETM 1070 Digital Literacy Fundamentals
    • ETM 1080 Software Literacy Fundamentals
    • ETM 1090 Technical Perspectives on Defense Contracting Fundamentals
    • LOG 1000 Life Cycle Logistics Fundamentals
    • PMT 0140 Team Management and Leadership
    • TST 102 Fundamentals of Test and Evaluation
    • Completed Engineering and Technical Authority (E&TA) Familiarization training.
    • Completed Electronic Hazard Assessment Report (eHAR) training.
    • 5+ years of experience with Environment, Safety, and Occupational Health (ESOH) in DoD systems acquisition projects or programs.
    • 5+ years of experience with logistics, systems engineering, or acquisition program management.
    • Experience with DoD systems acquisition process and ESOH regulations and legislation, including experience with MIL-STD-882E and the system safety methodology.
    • Demonstrated ability to organize, schedule, and facilitate technical meetings and working groups, including preparing agendas, briefing materials, point papers, and meeting summaries.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Active Secret clearance.
    • BA or BS degree in relevant engineering or scientific discipline from an accredited college or university, or a comparable range of experience, training, or professional certification

    Preferred:

    • Experience in an increasing technical leadership role.
    • Knowledge of the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA), including engineering, life cycle logistics, and program management.
    • MS degree in Engineering, Science, Environmental Studies, Environmental Planning and Policy, or Environmental Management.
    • Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
    • Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP)
    • National Registry of Environmental Professionals certifications (e.g., Environmental Manager or Environmental Professional certification)
