    ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES ASSOCIATE - (T Description ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES ASSOCIATE

    Under minimal supervision, to provide diverse and confidential administrative, secretarial and support services to the director and division managers. May handle assignments that require a thorough knowledge of the policies and procedures for the department/institution.

    Key Duties and Primary Responsibilities:

    • Provides secretarial and administrative support for faculty: composes, transcribes, types, edits, and proofs documents; organizes meetings; calendar interface; and manages department records
    • Performs various entry-level financial responsibilities such as processing reimbursements, creating purchase orders, etc
    • Maintains CME info for the Pulmonary Division for our CME conferences, including working with conference speakers to obtain CME documents as well as attendees
    • Works with the UAB CME office to ensure the division is current with all required paperwork for CME events
    • Maintains divisional files for faculty such as CVs, licensing, etc
    • Assists Division Administrator with special projects as required
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Hourly Wage: $ $21,800

    Qualifications

    High school diploma or GED and seven (7) years of secretarial or administrative experience required. Bachelor's degree preferred and may substitute for three (3) years of experience required

    Preferred Additional Qualifications:

    Heavy Outlook calendaring, general document editing, and general administrative duties such as processing reimbursements. Expertise in Word, Adobe and Outlook are required.
