    Hermes was founded in 1981 and has built a reputation as Northeast Ohio's premier race and sport management company operating over 160 local and national running races.

    Hermes also manages the Cleveland Corporate Challenge, a 14-sport competition among area businesses and Hermes Sport & Social, which provides the highest quality sports leagues, tournaments and social events in the area.

    Position Responsibilities

    • Secure signed contracts with our clients
    • Communicate with race contact keeping them informed and attending to anything they need
    • Produce race website and online race documents such as course maps, entry form, and results
    • Acquire event permits by working with local authorities
    • Manage the client database and participant registrations
    • Oversee and execute the distribution of all marketing materials
    • Procure all equipment and services needed for the race including t-shirts, post race foods, etc.
    • Scheduling event staff
    • Manage all event logistics such as registration, volunteer coordination, set up and tear down at the race
    • Management and inventory of all equipment/supplies whether it belongs Hermes or the race
    • Managing event budgets, financial reconciliation, and post race event recap
    Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree with emphasis in management, administration or recreation preferred or equivalent experience.
    • Excellent verbal and communication skills.
    • Highly organized and experienced in multi-tasking.
    • Knowledge of core sport of running.
    • Passion for events.
    • Available to work normal daily business hours plus weekend hours.Some out of state race travel necessary.
    • Proficient computer skills including Word, Outlook and Excel
