    SUMMARY/GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF JOB:

    Under general direction of the Treasury Manager, this position is responsible for daily cash reconciliation and working cooperatively with multiple banking relationships and internal departments across subsidiaries to ensure security, timeliness, and accuracy in transfer of funds.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES/ACCOUNTABLE FOR:
    • Analyzes and reviews all operational cash flows for the organization, reconciles and prepares daily cash reports and trend analyses.
    • Interacts with multiple banking teams and internal departments and users regarding transfer of funds, user access, and ad hoc user requests in accordance with internal controls.
    • Trains new users on the Commercial Purchase Card Program and assists the Treasury Manager in the administration of the program.
    • Establishes required bank accounts, adds and/or removes user access, and drives the daily administration of bank accounts.
    • Processes cash requests from Chugach subsidiaries and off-site locations.
    • Prepares deposits for remote capture and for manual deposit.
    • Obtains general ledger account coding and supporting documentation for cash related transactions and prepares daily general journal entries, monthly investment journal entries, and reconciles investment and cash general ledger accounts.
    • Implements internal and industry-best fraud prevention practices, including the use of positive pay and monitoring for suspicious checks activity.
    • Assists with the setup of accounts, users, and reporting within the treasury platform, Kyriba.
    • Maintains records of online banking users and their access to all banks and accounts.
    • Keeps up-to-date records of all bank accounts and their account set-up.
    • Reconciles internal records of all bank accounts and users to banking records and the internal treasury platform, Kyriba.
    • Identifies proper approval for transactions, initiates domestic and international electronic funds transactions for settlement of obligations. Demonstrates hyper awareness for: approvals, backup documentation, and red flags for possible fraud.
    • Develops and assembles required records and maintains proper internal controls for recorded transactions.
    • Monitors rates and analyzes the impact of changes on the deposit accounts.
    • Documents treasury procedures and maintains appropriate detail in coordination with treasury responsibilities and initiatives.
    • Utilizes internal review practices and recommends more efficient methods of controls.
    • Assists department on projects for implementing systems and/or process changes to support increased efficiencies or conformance with internal controls.
    • Supports all aspects of treasury operations activities, including assisting with the development of cash management banking solutions for all business segments and supporting the consolidated cash forecasting process.
    • Provides backup to other Chugach Alaska Corporation Accounting and Finance positions during scheduled and unscheduled absences.
    • Other responsibilities as assigned.
    JOB REQUIREMENTS (Education, Experience, Professional Associations):

    Mandatory
    • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related, or four (4) years of equivalent experience, or a combination of education and progressively responsible accounting experience.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of general accounting practices including journal entries, reconciliations, and good internal control practices.
    • Demonstrated intermediate skills in the use of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Teams, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
    Preferred Software Experience

    Kyriba, Sage Intacct, SharePoint, and Adobe.

    Knowledge Of:Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP); commonly used accounting concepts, practices, and procedures; accounting software applications; operation of common office machinery including copiers, fax machines, and computers.

    Ability To: Self motivate as well as work as a team player to meet deadlines and handle stressful situations; use interpersonal skills to effectively organize and communicate across business segments and external banking relationships; think analytically, problem solve and handle/safeguard confidential data and transactions; produce high quality work that is complete, accurate, timely.
