    Facilities, Inc., a consolidated building maintenance services company, is seeking an experienced, highly motivated individual to fill the position of Building Engineer.

    Employees hired in this position are responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and fulfilling the maintenance needs for the buildings serviced by US Facilities, Inc.

    This position includes the application of technical and specialized knowledge and preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance.

    Troubleshoot and repair buildings and the facilities' installed systems, including packaging and handling machinery, and working on plumbing systems, roofs, drains, equipment, and HVAC.

    Support the operation and maintenance of
    HVACequipment, plumbing, and all other types of building systems.

    Use computerized controls, meters, and gauges to ensure that, from the time they start until the time they shut down, the building equipment operates safely.

    Participate in the company's rotating on-call schedule to respond to after-hours building emergencies.
    Complete indoor including changing lightbulbs, painting, and similar duties as needed.
    Clean, lubricate, and service a wide variety of pumps, valves, pneumatic controls, and electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic devices.
    Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment systems.
    Troubleshoot, evaluate, and make recommendations to upgrade maintenance operations.
    Possess and apply competent knowledge about the use and care of tools and equipment necessary for facility maintenance.
    Respond immediately and professionally to emergency situations and customer concerns.
    Inspect equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions.
    Inspect new installations to compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
    Maintain and operate life safety and fire systems.
    Comply with all applicable laws, codes, regulations, and company directives related to building operations.
    Utilize customer relations management software for the execution and completion of work orders.
    Demonstrate the ability to run a building utilizing building mechanical concepts common to the industry.

    Proficient at reading, interpreting, and accurately applying the concepts and instructions found in equipment manuals, understanding prints, and other technical drawings.

    Have a proven record of exercising sound judgment and applying generally established best practices to solve problems and overcome obstacles in the field.

    Readily and regularly available to take on-call shifts.

    Ability to work extended periods of time without relief when responding to priority or emergency situations (including some overtime hours).

    Ability to use and access the company's electronic information, timecard, email, and communication programs.
    Licensed Building Engineer
    Must have technical, vocational, or on-the-job training in the following areas:

    HVAC
    Electrical
    Fire Life and Safety


    Employees in this position may be assigned to one or multiple buildings and may work at various jobsites throughout their workday or workweek.

    Employees may be exposed to the risk of electrical shock.

    The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts, in elevated locations, and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.

    The employee may be required to participate in a standby emergency schedule for evening, weekend, and holiday coverage to handle building emergencies as needed.
