    ATA Services, Inc., is looking for a full-time Accounting Clerk to work with our client the State of Hawaii, Family Health Services Division. Please review the details listed below:

    Hourly Rate: $23

    Desired start date: ASAP

    Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:45 am - 4:30 pm

    Summary:

    The position is responsible for assisting in the maintenance and control of WIC Program funds. This position provides fiscal and administrative support including assisting in the development and maintenance of an accounts payable system, recording of fiscal activities, and preparation of various financial reports.

    General Responsibilities:

    a) Fiscal and Budget

    • Maintains a ledger system which shows an accurate accounting of the funds available and expended, in each account.
    • Maintains special ledgers to show expenditures by various categories such as by object code, activity code, vendor and location as requested by the supervisor.
    • Reconciles the General Ledger with DATAMART reports to ensure that WIC expenditures are within the State allotment.
    • Maintains electronic subsidiary ledgers/accounts for multiple fund balances, including grants and ASAP and rebate contracts.

    c) Administrative

    • Provides fiscal information for and participates in long range planning activities.
    • Assists in the preparation of the budget by providing appropriate fiscal and expenditure data to the supervisor and Branch Administrative Officer.
    • Provides information to the Branch in proper utilization of State fiscal documents.
