    Position Profile

    Weaver is looking for talented assurance professionals at the Senior Associate level to join our growing Blockchain & Digital Assets (BDA) practiceAs a BDA Assurance Senior Associate, you will be a core member of our team and play an integral role in servicing client work, training associates, and developing business.

    The ideal candidate is a team player who exhibits initiative, accepts responsibility, communicates effectively, and manages multiple concurrent assignments of varying sizes and complexity.

    This team member has the opportunity to assist and mentor less experienced staff and interns.

    Below are some of the day-to-day activities a BDA Senior Associate will perform:
    Plan, prepare and deliver client work to Managers and Partners independently
    Perform technical research on digital asset GAAP accounting as set forth by the FASB, AICPA and other accounting authorities
    Perform market research on new web3 companies and applications
    Assist in the development of BDA-focused audit training materials
    Participate in prospective client research, meetings, and activities
    Participate in local and national crypto events and conferences
    Education and Skills
    Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
    Master's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
    2+ years of public accounting experience preferred
    Strong understanding of GAAP
    Functional understanding of blockchain technology
    Experience with auditing of investment funds and entities reporting under ASC Topic 946 is preferred
    Strong project management, team orientation and interpersonal skills
    Strong written and verbal communications skills
    CPA candidate required, CPA designation preferred
    Accounting for more than numbers
