    "The Manager, Facilities Engineer provides technical support for the Brother Facilities Department.

    This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing project work from inception to completion affecting all Brother USA facilities.

    The Manager, Facilities Engineer leads project work in Brother facilities without on-site support and liaisons with on-site Facilities Managers as needed.

    This position is responsible for managing facility changes, modifications and maintenance, including renovation work and new construction.

    This position serves as a subject matter expert for all aspects of facilities drawings, including maintaining all facilities drawings and up to date documentation to support project scope.

    The Manager, Facilities Engineer partners with leadership to manage and advise on project plans and head future improvement projects.

    The role assists with the management of waste services throughout the facility and proper disposal of waste to ensure that Brother is meeting/exceeding all requirements of the ISO14001 standard.

    This position works with various facility budgets, researching & obtaining bid proposals, and for maintaining all required facilities systems inspection records.

    • Facilities Engineering and Management
    Manage multiple project teams, create project plans, define project scope, and establish budgets for any facilities work assigned including but not limited to Brother facilities without on-site support (California, Colorado, Virginia) and those with on-site management (New Jersey and Tennessee)
    Serve as the point of contact from development to project completion for facilities upgrades to include renovations, new construction and facility relocations
    Utilize project management processes, and develop project plans utilizing AutoCAD for drawing inclusion in request for Proposals (RFP) and a statement of work (SOW)
    Maintain as-built drawings of building systems mechanical, electrical, and plumping (MEPs)
    Maintain workspace documents to show total capacity and improve workspace availability
    Plan and optimize workspaces, and work with building Occupants to provide suitable accommodations to meet the needs of our supporting business partners
    Liaise with departmental leadership, facilities team, and other key stakeholders to develop project plans and effectively communicate project status and milestones throughout
    Complete needs assessment for aging facilities and recommend corrective actions
    Work with commercial Realtors, Architects and Property Management Professionals to source properties that meet Brother's business needs.
    Prepare project communication plans, and occasionally create presentations for executive level communications
    Assist the facilities team for any maintenance and repairs as needed to buildings and equipment and provide support to ensure timely completion of action items
    Monitor project costs and track spending related to the departmental CAPEX budgets
    Monitor and track project related expense spending (actuals)
    Perform calculations on project expenses and develop efficient return -on-investment (ROI) models
    Plan and forecast capital spending and manage project change-orders to stay on budget
    Track asset life and plan for replacement of aging assets (from installation to EOL)
    Maintain a complete asset life-cycle list that includes asset nomenclature, general specifications, identifying characteristics and installation data
    Manage vendor and contractor relations to ensure services and performance are met to specified requirements and following all safety protocols throughout project timeline within Brother USA facilities
    Coordinate with facilities teams and operations personnel to effectively schedule facilities improvement work
    Maintain Vendor relationships with service contractors providing daily facilities services
    Work with Procurement to keep services under contract and go out for updated bids when needed
    Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) Engineering or related degree or a related field Required

    Minimum 8 years Project management experience in a production based facility or in a distribution facility Required

    ~ Minimum 5 years Managing renovation projects and new construction Required

    Software/Technical Skills
    ~ AutoCAD - 2D Intermediate Required

    ~ Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) Intermediate Required

    ~ Project Management Software (such as eMaint, Workfront, MS Project) Intermediate Required

    ~ MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Intermediate Required

    ~ Fire & Access Controls Systems Basic Preferred

    ~ Building Management Systems (BMS) and HVAC Controls Basic Preferred

    Proven ability writing and executing facilities related documents, design drawings, and processes with a strong attention to detail Required

    ~ Ability to manage and supervise contractors, builders, installers, and vendors to ensure project deliverables are met on time and on budget Required

    ~ Project Management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Required

    The salary (or hiring) range for this position is $80,000 - $105,000 per year
    Starting salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location, and alignment with market data
