South Florida based commercial real estate brokerage with an emphasis on middle market space is looking for a President. This role will be responsible for nurturing a network of exceptional commercial real estate professionals, growing the current agent roster, and positioning the company as a trusted and solid player in the region. Crafting the right culture (top to bottom) will be a key objective of this leadership position.
The role will focus on, but will not be limited to the following key areas:
Agent Relations
· Creates an efficient infrastructure and professional team to support, keep, and grow the business.
· Negotiates and helps close deals (small, mid-sized, large transactions).
· Collaborates with top producers and company leadership to ensure the business is efficiently delivering the best service clients and prospects deserve.
· Meet regularly with potential recruits.
· Set objectives to assist salespeople maximize their potential.
· Hold regular, well planned sales meetings to motivate inform and help agents focus
· on their business plan objectives.
· Offer individual coaching, counseling, advice, support, motivation and information
· on a regular basis.
· Review the performance of salespeople and stimulate them to reach greater
· Achievement.
· Recruit through use of the business development program.
Financial Objectives
· Plan, organize and direct sales staff to meet office financial objectives alongside
· CFO.
· Understand office financial reports to determine office performance and market
· trends.
· Monitor each salesperson's monthly performance and compare it with their annual
· business objectives.
· Understand, evaluate and plan sales activity within offices (main + branches).
· Stay current on inventory and track local market trends.
· Set goals for identifying and implementing new marketing vehicles.
· Maintain control of advertising budgets.
· Work with support staff within office to streamline productivity and save money.
Outreach
· Fosters strategic alliances with local market players in the business segment,
providing critical direction to the team in the servicing of clients and prospects.
· Creates intellectual capital for the practice by developing and leveraging tools, key partnerships, and local resources.
· Engages with local/regional/national real estate (particularly commercial real estate) organizations for sharing best practices, emerging risk and industry trends, and opportunities for exposure.
· Cultivates relationships with current and potential tech vendors/partners, including developing initiatives to streamline and improve business model.
Accountability
· Develops, maintains, and monitors business plan for growth.
· Develops and implements sales and marketing strategies with current and potential agents/clients within specific geographic area.
· Participates in annual strategic planning alongside CFO and other key stakeholders.
· Oversees company's deliverables and performance of agents and/or consultants and staff.
· Researches industry trends and government regulations.
Requirements
· Seasoned commercial real estate leader, with solid experience and knowledge of the industry (7+ yrs.).
· Advanced knowledge of financial strategies and asset class available.
· Active, current real estate broker license (Florida).
· Bachelor's degree in business administration/finance, risk management, real estate (Master's preferred).
· Strong understanding and working knowledge of commercial real estate tools and applications (CoStar, AppFolio, MLS, etc.).
· Strong verbal, presentation and interpersonal communication skills required.
· Established relationships in the market within assigned areas (Florida's east coast).
· Able to interpret and understand complex financial information and data to facilitate decision making and best able to meet client's strategic needs.
· Understands industry trends and governmental regulations (local, state, federal levels).
· Ability to travel within several Counties (Florida's east coast / southeast area).
· Strong MS Office knowledge (Outlook, Excel, Word), and presentation software
· Ability to attend and represent company, and agent events/meetings as required, including industry training sessions.
· Ability to keep fiscal responsibility.
· Ability to comply with all company policies and procedures, proactively protecting confidentiality of agents, client, and company information.
