    About the Position

    LocumJobsOnline is working with Barton Associates to find a qualified Emergency Medicine NP in Kentucky

    We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner for a 60-day locum tenens assignment in Kentucky. This opportunity begins on Apr 13, 2026, and offers flexible swing shift coverage, typically 11a-11p, with 10-15 shifts per month. The ideal candidate will bring at least three years of recent emergency medicine experience and a commitment to high-quality acute care.

    • Schedule: 10-15 shifts/month; typical shift is 11a-11p (subject to change, flexibility required)
    Responsibilities and Duties
    • Provide acute care to patients presenting with emergent medical conditions
    • Perform assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and initiate treatment plans
    • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
    • Respond promptly to medical emergencies in accordance with facility protocols
    • Document all patient interactions and care provided accurately and timely
    • Adhere to all relevant state and facility guidelines for emergency medical practice
    Additional Information
    • Must have at least 3 years of recent emergency medicine experience
    • Required licenses: Kentucky Nurse Practitioner license
    • Required board certifications: Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification (ACNP-BC)
    • Required certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
    • Flexibility to adapt to shift hour changes as needed
