JOB TITLE:
Production Ag Account Manager
WORKS CLOSELY WITH:
This role collaborates closely with the Territory Sales Manager, VP of Sales, Remarketing Manager, Service Manager, and Technology Specialists.
JOB SUMMARY:
This position entails providing innovative solutions to fulfill the needs identified by customers within a designated geographic area, offering new and used agricultural equipment, latest technology, and value-added services directly to clients.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Maintain current product knowledge on John Deere equipment and competitive brands
- Develop sales plans and forecasts for clients and input data into CRM software
- Stay up-to-date with agronomy and agricultural techniques for customer recommendations
- Demonstrate precision agriculture practices during customer interactions
- Monitor competitor activities and provide reports to management
- Assist in field demonstrations of equipment and operate machinery as necessary
- Keep abreast of incentive programs and financing options
- Support Integrated Solutions including agronomic decision support and machine optimization
COMPETENCY:
This role requires excellent communication, math, and negotiation skills, as well as proficiency in computerized tools and reports.
EXPERIENCE:
Preferably 3-5 years of Account Management or direct sales experience in agricultural equipment.
EDUCATION:
BS in Business or related field preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Capable of operating, securing, and transporting equipment, lifting 40 pounds, and standing for extended periods.
