    Strong finance-based analytical skills

    • 10 years' of finance experience
    CPA or MBA preferred but not required

    Position Description Summary:


    As a key member of the Executive Management team, the Chief Financial Officer will report to the President/CEO and perform a strategic role in the overall planning and management of the company, across all business units.

    This position is responsible for overseeing all financial operations and recommending and/or making decisions based on the company's financial stability.

    Duties include monitoring cash flow, meeting with the CEO to discuss the best practice for the company finances and coming up with strategic plans to improve company's overall financial health.

    The CFO will have primary day to day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing, analyzing, strategizing, growing, and controlling all financial related activities of the company.

    This will include direct responsibility for accounting, finance, budgeting/forecasting, and strategic planning, as well as private and institutional financing.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    ·

    Provides leadership in the development for the continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives.
    ·

    Develops plans for growth to increase company profit while also reducing expenditures
    ·

    Direct, oversee and manage all aspects of the Finance and Accounting functions of the organization
    ·

    Ensure credibility of finance and accounting by providing timely and accurate reporting and analysis of budgets, financial trends, and forecasts leading to superior decision-making
    ·

    Evaluates and advises on the impact of long-range planning, introduction of new programs/strategies and regulatory actions
    ·

    Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior executives, external partners, and stakeholders to identify their needs, seek a full range of business solutions and update/report on improvements
    ·

    Working with the finance and accounting team, study work flows and implement programs to support best-in-class optimization of processes and technology for improved timeliness and accuracy of financial information
    ·

    Provide executive management with advice on the financial implications of business activities
    ·

    Manage processes for financial forecasting, budgets and consolidation and reporting to the Company
    ·

    Provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities
    ·

    Responsible for cash flow forecasting and management
    ·


    Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.

    Strong working knowledge of accounting, audit, and financial processes

    Leadership skills with the ability to delegate, motivate and inspire team members

    Excellent skills in MS Office Suite

    Strong working knowledge of processes, systems, and controls including accounting, retail and wholesale

    Basic Qualifications:
    ·

    Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field, MBA is highly desirable
    ·

    Mergers and Acquisitions experience, a plus
    ·

    At least 10 years' experience in progressively responsible financial leadership roles
    ·

    Proven leadership and management experience is essential
    ·

    Demonstrated time management and prioritization skills with a focus on timeliness and accuracy
    ·

    PC proficiency is essential with strong working knowledge of MS office suite and financial software
    ·

    Solid communication skills (written and verbal).
    ·

    Must have a valid driver's license and be able to pass MVR standards
