The Payload Mechanical Engineering group is in need of an experience Payload Mechanical Design Engineer .with technical knowledge, expertise, and leadership for payload mechanical engineering, CAD design processes and techniques, and RF transmission line design and products This individual assists to develop, integrate and document structural and interior payload system requirements to establish the spacecraft system design.
They develop, maintain and modify basic structural and interior payload system and component designs, using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools and/or other design methods, to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle.
This engineer understands RF cable and waveguide routing methods and design criteria for RF systems and components to meet requirements and specifications.
They assist with supplier development, test and production activities and coordination with the supplier to optimize the design and achieve program goals.
