    Service Transmission Tech – Automotive

    Job Responsibilities:

    The Transmission Technician will perform Automatic Transmission Repairs as well as Maintenance work as assigned in accordance with dealership and factory standards according to skill level and certification.

    • Diagnose, repair, and rebuild transmissions
    • Able to learn new transmission technologies
    • Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
    • Test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
    • Maintain an organized and neat bay.
    • Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing automotive technology.
    • Adhere to all company policy, procedure, safety and environmental rules.
    • Road test vehicles when needed.

    Job Requirements

    • Must be able to manage in a fast-paced work environment with limited supervision
    • Positive, friendly attitude, along with a customer service mentality
    • Must have a valid driver's license
    • Able to lift up to 50 pounds
    • Able to work on your feet for extended periods of time
    • All applicants must be able to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, drug test, credit report, and valid driver license.

    Education and/or Experience

    High school diploma or GED (general equivalency diploma); or 1 to 3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

    Operator Driver's License & State Inspection License

    Compensation

    Compensation is based on experience and commensurate with Fortune 500 companies.
