    Description


    As the Project and Process Engineer here at Lundberg, you will develop and execute capital projects including scope, schedule, budget, procurement, installation, and performance.

    This role will also perform process engineering solutions across all areas of focus, with specific emphasis and expertise in food processing and packaging.


    Key Responsibilities include:
    Engineering on assigned capital projects
    Providing innovative technical solutions required to meet business objectives with emphasis on productivity.
    Utilizing Continuous Improvement (CI) tools and support CI and Phase Progression efforts.
    Offering production support and troubleshooting assistance to Engineers, Team Leaders, and Maintenance.
    Providing technical and engineering expertise to the various manufacturing departments, including milling, drying, and storage.

    Development and execution of system productivity improvements and cost savings initiatives that support the business objectives and system specific improvement plans.

    Requirements

    Bachelors or Master's in Engineering or Engineering Technology
    3+ years of project engineering experience.
    Prior project or technical experience in manufacturing required.
    Experience with continuous improvement, LEAN, Six Sigma, TPM, or related processes
    Demonstrated understanding of proper elements of Preventive/Predictive Maintenance program.
    Strong ability to involve operators and mechanics in the project process.
    High mechanical aptitude.


    Preferred:
    Food engineering or food processing related experience in a flour or grain milling environment.
    Knowledge of packaging and processing systems and a working knowledge of plant manufacturing, engineering, quality, and research functions.
    Knowledge of Food Manufacturing Regulatory Requirements (GMP's, Food Safety, etc.). Experience working with EPA and OHSA regulations.
