    This is an on-site Virginia healthcare job for an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) with Trauma Level I or II experience.

    Emergency Room RN (Travel) Requirements



    Experience:
    3+ years

    of recent Emergency Department (ED) RN experience in a similar-size
    ER;

    Trauma Level I or II experience required

    Travel

    Experience:
    Prior travel RN experience is required for this position


    License:
    Active

    Virginia RN

    license or

    Compact (multistate) RN

    license at time of submission


    Certifications (required):
    BLS ,

    ACLS ,

    PALS ,

    TNCC ,

    NIH Stroke Scale

    (current)


    Trauma Certification:
    ATCN/TNCC/ATLC (or equivalent trauma credential as applicable)


    Preferred:
    Cerner EMR experience


    Time Off:
    All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted with the application packet

    Emergency Department RN Responsibilities

    Provide high-quality

    emergency nursing

    care for patients across a wide range of acuity, including trauma and medical emergencies

    Rapidly assess, triage, and prioritize patient needs; initiate evidence-based interventions and escalate changes in condition promptly

    Administer medications, start and manage IV therapy, and perform emergency procedures per protocol and provider orders

    Collaborate with physicians, trauma teams, respiratory therapy, imaging, and ancillary departments to support stabilization and patient throughput

    Deliver patient and family education with clear, compassionate communication during stressful situations

    Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the EMR (Cerner preferred)
