Beginning with early life education and vaccinations, we strive to work with pet owners to raise their four-legged family members in a safe, fun-filled, enriched environment. Following them throughout their lives with healthy, sensible advice, we strive to extend their lives for as long as possible. Helping our clients and patients in any way we can is our primary goal and what we are here for. We work with many animal welfare organizations to find appropriate homes for unwanted pets. We also have a working relationship with a 24-hour care facility with many specialists, for those pets needing emergency and/or advanced specialty care. Your pet's well- being is our only concern and we will work with you to fulfill that goal.
We individualize our approach to pet care so as to make rational, informed decisions regarding each pet's needs. We keep up with the latest trends in veterinary care and blend our approach to meet each individual's needs. We like to think of ourselves as "old school" doctors and technicians who are also very adept at the latest therapies and therapeutics. Using advanced, modern technology to help us formulate a treatment plan for ill patients, we can more appropriately care for your pets illnesses and find ways to bring them back to health as rapidly as possible. We believe home is the best place for pets to recover as their human family members can give them the TLC that is necessary for recovery. The emotional and physical bond that people have with their pets is what is essential for their healing process. We work in partnership with pet owners to keep their furry family members healthy and happy.
We're looking to add a full-time or part-time veterinarian who is a compassionate, team player and strong communicator. We could support an experienced associate veterinarian or provide fantastic mentorship to a new or recent graduate
We offer our Veterinarians:
SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS
+ Ability to sit or stand and work at a computer for long periods of time.
+ Ability to be confident around animals (i.e., dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, etc. Candidate to confirm species treated with practice leadership for additional clarity.)
+ Client needs and work volume may occasionally require more than 40 hours per week to complete essential duties of this job. This position may require special working hours, including working weekends, evenings and/or holidays.
+ Must have mental capacity and processes for reasoning, remembering, mathematics and language ability (reading, writing, and speaking the English language) to perform the duties proficiently.
+ The noise level in the work environment is moderately high. Ear plugs will be available upon request.
+ Job requires sufficient ambulatory skills in order to perform required duties while working.
+ Ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as well as manipulate (lift, carry, move) up to 50 pounds.
+ Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm-hand-finger dexterity with the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard and operate other equipment as required.
+ Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
+ Hospital teammates are routinely exposed to a variety of animals that may bite, kick or scratch, and on occasion, may be exposed to anesthesia, radiation, biological or zoonotic hazards and/or medication/controlled substances.
