James River Home Health is actively seeking a Full-time Hospice Billing Specialist to join our growing team You will be responsible for the accurate and timely completion and submission of Medicare, Medicaid, Private payer, Patient billing and accounts receivable tracking and follow-up.

    Full-time Monday-Friday 8 am-5pm (In Person)

    A brief overview of Responsibilities:

    • Accurately input patient billing data, including visit and supply charges, to ensure clean claims.
    • Verify completion of all visits before releasing bills to payers or patients.
    • Monitor and review Start of Care (SOC) data for billing purposes.
    • Monitor and verify Level of Care (LOC) movement in HCHB for billing.
    • Complete insurance verifications for referrals.
    • Assist in resolving insurance and billing issues for referrals, sales, patients, and providers.
    • Enter Notices of Election (NOEs) and Notices of Termination/Revocation (NOTRs) while monitoring movement.
    • Maintain confidentiality of patient and organizational information.
    • Undertake specific projects related to billing, data entry, and computer operations as needed.
    • Provide support to home health billing specialists when required.
    • Perform additional duties as assigned.

    Ideal Candidate:

    • One to two years of hospice/home health, medical office or healthcare experience or equivalent
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
    • High school/ Diploma/ GED required
