    Description

    Position: Compressor Technician at Wood Company



    Responsibilities:

    • Ensure maintenance of operations sites in a safe manner.
    • Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, and replace compressors when required.
    • Start/stop compressors as necessary.
    • Facilitate daily communication between operators, supervisors, Marketing, and Commercial Development.
    • Review and oversee assigned work permits related to construction or maintenance.
    • Get qualified in assigned DOT pipeline and control room competencies.
    • Cross-train in different areas and partake in hands-on field operations training.
    • Adhere to company procedures, policies, and safety regulations.
    • Operate independently or from the Operations Control Center by monitoring field volumes, rates, levels, and alarms.
    • Be engaged in the Health, Safety, and Environmental culture.
    • Perform duties in line with Core Values.

    Qualifications:

    • Prior experience in the oil/gas field is preferred.
    • Familiarity with screw & reciprocating compressors.
    • Understanding of oil & gas operations: Amine and Glycol systems, Compression, pipelines, measurement, etc.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, Cygnet (or other SCADA system), and IMaps (or Google Maps).
    • Strong time management, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
    • Capable of multitasking and communicating efficiently across diverse groups.
