    Research Associate - Dept of Oncology

    Wayne State University is searching for an experiencedResearch Associate - Dept of Oncologyat its Detroit campus location.

    Essential functions (job duties):

    • Liaison between academic researchers and community partners/consultants/organizational partners in Detroit and throughout the state of Michigan
    • Development of outreach strategies to engage community and healthcare stakeholders in research
    • Support of behavioral research in negotiating practical and regulatory barriers across multiple clinical sites and organizational
    • Management and oversight project plans, project schedules, budgets, and expenditures for select research projects
    • Literature reviews, data collection, report writing
    • Data management and data analysis

    Qualifications:

    • MPH degree or Master's in Psychology or similar field is required
    • Two or more years working in a grant-funded research setting
    • Experience analyzing data (R, SPSS)
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities
    • Experience working with diverse populations
    • Work well with community members, cancer patients, and clinical and research staff
    • Possess critical thinking, analytical, problem solving, and exceptional interpersonal skills
    • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
    • Demonstrate sound professional judgment and the ability to maintain confidential information
