    Fiscal Specialist Coordinator: Jefferson County Auditors Office has an opening for a Fiscal Specialist Coordinator. Persons in this position plan, organize, coordinate financial management of accounting activities and provide technical leadership and training to financial staff in all County Departments, conduct the final audit of vouchers, employee reimbursement payments, and payments for goods and services purchased by the County and other jurisdictions including Jr. Taxing Districts within the County. Also monitors budget lines, contract compliance, tax collection and submission to Department of Revenue and the IRS. Assists with payrolls and other auditing procedures. Provides administrative and technical support of payroll and benefits. Please see the job description for full duties.

    Education and/or Experience: Associates degree (AA) in accounting, minimum of six (6) years related governmental accounting experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience OR High School diploma or general education degree (GED) and eight (8) years related governmental accounting experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Hours & Compensation: UFCW, Grade U29, starting pay typically $25.16/hr. Full hourly range $25.16hr-$31.42/hr. DOE. Full medical benefits, including dental and vision. Retirement provided through Washington State DRS. 12 days of vacation to start, 11 paid holidays, sick leave and bereavement leave. Starting January 1, 2024, UFCW will be adopting Personal Time Off (PTO) in lieu of vacation and sick leave. 40 hours/week, Monday through Friday 8:00 am 4:30pm with a 30-minute lunch.
