    Overview

    Dignity Health Medical Group – Dominican ) is seeking a Hospitalist to join our physician led, patient centered organization in Santa Cruz, CA, offering you flexibility and collegiality in a friendly environment. We are affiliated with Dominican Hospital ), which has 222 beds, and we're aligned with one of the largest nonprofit health systems in the nation and the largest hospital system in California.

    Flexibility and Exceptional Work/Life Balance:

    • 7 on/7 off schedule with flexibility
    • Only 1 hospital
    • 189 shifts/year (non-shareholders), 180 shifts/year (shareholders)

    Compensation/Benefits Include:

    • Excellent earning potential with productivity bonus
    • Residency signing stipend: $18,000
    • Sign on bonus: $60,000
    • Relocation assistance: $20,000
    • Comprehensive benefits including health insurance, retirement plans and CME allowance

    Compensation Range: $320,000 - $320,000 / Year

    Responsibilities

    Patient Care:

    • Diagnose and treat various medical conditions.
    • Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
    • Conduct thorough medical examinations and histories.

    Communication:

    • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
    • Provide clear and concise medical information.
    • Foster a collaborative and patient-centered approach to healthcare.

    Documentation:

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
    • Document medical findings, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
    • Ensure compliance with coding and billing regulations.

    Diagnostic Procedures:

    • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging.
    • Perform procedures as needed
    • Collaborate with specialists for further diagnostic evaluation.

    Team Collaboration:

    • Collaborate with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
    • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.
    • Provide consultative services to other healthcare providers.

    Quality Improvement:

    • Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives.
    • Review and analyze clinical outcomes for continuous improvement.
    • Implement changes to enhance patient care and safety.

    Compliance:

    • Adhere to ethical and legal standards in medical practice.
    • Stay informed about healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.
    • Participate in quality audits to ensure adherence to standards.

    Continuous Learning:

    • Stay abreast of medical advancements and best practices.
    • Participate in ongoing medical education and training.
    • Contribute to the development of clinical protocols and guidelines.

    Qualifications

    • A valid and unrestricted California medical license
    • Board eligible or board certified in specified area of medical specialty (ABMS or AOA)
    • Completion of an accredited post-graduate training program

    Pay Range

    $154.00/hour
