    Solo Brands is seeking a skilled Human Resources expert to assume the responsibilities of overseeing the Compensation and Total Rewards department as a key member of our team. Working under the guidance of the Chief People Officer, you will take charge of crafting, enhancing, and managing a range of compensation, benefits, payroll, and recognition initiatives. Your efforts will be pivotal in securing, retaining, and fostering the growth of exceptional talent within our organization.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Deep understanding of compensation principles, including salary structures, incentive programs, equity plans, and executive compensation. Experience with job analysis, market pricing, and compensation surveys is essential.
    • Knowledge of employee benefits programs, including healthcare, retirement plans, wellness initiatives, and other fringe benefits. Experience in designing and managing comprehensive benefits packages is crucial.
    • Proven ability to develop and execute total rewards strategies aligned with organizational goals and competitive market practices.
    • Manage payroll operations, ensuring precise and punctual processing, compliance with relevant regulations, and meticulous record-keeping.
    • Work closely with senior leadership and the Chief People Officer to ensure seamless integration of total rewards and payroll endeavors with broader HR and business strategies.
    • Proficient in utilizing HR Information Systems (HRIS), ensuring efficient management and optimization of compensation and total rewards processes. Specific expertise using the UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) platform is preferred.
    • Facilitate effective communication and education of total rewards and payroll programs to employees, promoting understanding and recognition of their value.
    • Collaborate with the finance team to oversee budgeting and forecasting processes related to total rewards and payroll programs, ensuring financial prudence.
    • Remain updated on market trends, regulatory shifts, and best practices in total rewards and payroll, advocating for program adjustments as necessary.
    Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CCP, CBP, SPHR) preferred.
    • 10+ years of progressive experience in total rewards, including extensive experience in compensation, benefits, payroll design, implementation, and day-to-day operations.
    • Strategic mindset with the ability to align compensation and total rewards programs with the organization's long-term objectives, culture, and values.
    • Demonstrated leadership skills in guiding teams through complex compensation initiatives and fostering collaboration for successful outcomes.
    • Extensive hands-on experience in HRIS administration, with a strong understanding of UKG software preferred.
    • Thorough understanding of relevant labor laws, regulations, and compliance requirements related to compensation and benefits, including Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), and Affordable Care Act (ACA).
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey complex compensation and benefits information to various stakeholders, including senior leadership, employees, and external partners.
