    The Stroke/Brain unit offers comprehensive, advanced care and treatment to minimize the effects of stroke, helping patients recover their health and functioning, and make the most of their capabilities so patients can get back to their lives

    About this unit:

    • Excellent Teamwork that promotes quality of care, patient safety, and patient satisfaction
    • Continuing Education offerings related to neuro and CVAs
    • Increased coordination of care and DC planning with the assistance of neurology, therapies (PT/OT/ST), case management, rehab, and nursing
    • 16- Bed Unit focused on Comprehensive Stroke Patients

    In this role, you will assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status. You will perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider, document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner, and maintain a knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.

    What qualifications you will need:

    • Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
    • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
    • Registered Nurse
    • Registered Nurse Diploma

    Research Medical Center is a 585+ bed hospital offering an array of medical and health clinic services. This includes women's services offering obstetrics and fertility, an emergency room, and a trauma center. We offer a Stroke Center, a walk-in clinic, and orthopedics across three Kansas City locations.
