- Manage and maintain the electronic components library
- Ensure that components meet the requirements for functionality, reliability, and costeffectiveness
- Find an alternate component/new component for existing/new product design based on cost and availability, while working closely with product line Engineers, QA and Purchasing departments.
- Write ECR as needed to process PCNs received from suppliers and to add/block components to the existing component database.
- Perform component level tests to qualify new components, preparing reports and adding to the part database per internal component qualification procedures.
- Work with the design team to select appropriate components for new designs
- Collaborate with suppliers to source new components and negotiate pricing
- Create and maintain documentation related to components, including datasheets and specifications
- Develop and maintain relationships with component manufacturers and suppliers
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to components during the design process
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 3+ years of experience in components engineering
- Experience with OrCAD EDM
- Strong knowledge of electronic components and their properties
- Familiarity with CAD tools and design processes
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations.
