Locum Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner - Palliative Care

Position Overview: We are seeking two dedicated and compassionate advance practice providers (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) to join our team on a locum basis. One position is full-time (1.0 FTE), operating Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, while the other position is part-time (0.5 FTE) with the greatest need on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. Both roles will focus on delivering exceptional palliative care services to our patients in Seattle, Washington.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with complex medical conditions, focusing on palliative care needs.
Develop and implement personalized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, patients, and their families.
Provide symptom management and pain relief through evidence-based pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions.
Offer emotional support and counseling to patients and families navigating end-of-life care decisions.
Coordinate care transitions and facilitate communication between patients, families, and other healthcare providers.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation in accordance with regulatory standards.

Requirements:

Active and unrestricted license as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in the state of Washington.
Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
Previous experience in palliative care, hospice, or a related field is highly desirable.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with patients and families.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Duration and Compensation:

These positions are locum tenens, with flexible duration based on organizational needs and provider availability.
Competitive compensation packages will be offered, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
