    Description

    Job Summary

    The Radiologic Technologist performs all radiology services and other basic nursing duties. They ensure the well-being of patients and provide a positive, supportive environment while working with physicians, clinicians, and clinical staff.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Complete provider orders according to state and provider regulations.
    • Perform accurate X-rays, practicing radiation safety precautions, including ALARA.
    • Prepare and transmit images to the radiologist for over-read, and report over-read results to providers.
    • Retrieve and archive radiographic reports.
    • Create/Burn CDs in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
    • Collect patient data, including vital signs and history.
    • Assist patients with walking, transfer, specimen collection, exam prep, etc.
    • Complete occupational health testing, including urine drug screens and physicals.
    • Complete patient referrals and callbacks daily.
    • Document EMR and paper-based documentation for assessments and procedures.

    Requirements

    • High School Diploma or equivalent.
    • Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program.
    • Experience in a clinical setting (preferred).
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification at hire time.
    • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration.
    • Applicable state licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
