- Detailed knowledge of relay systems and substation equipment
- Understanding of substation physical design and P&C
- Understanding of protection concepts around bus, transformer, transmission line, and distribution line protection
- Develop commissioning plans for substation projects including physical design and protection and control (P&C).
- Develop relay settings files for SEL, GE and Basler, relays from protection summary sheets and AC/DC schematics.
- Responsible for testing of current transformers, protective relays.
- Responsible for SCADA testing.
- Adjust group operated switches.
- Fully function test relay panels.

Job Summary:
The Commissioning Engineer acts as team lead for Substation and Protection & Control (P&C) projects.
The Commissioning Engineering will be responsible for all activities while on site, including physical inspection of the substation, protection and control (P&C) testing, and overseeing accompanying team members.
While not in the field, you'll develop/refine commissioning and testing procedures, prepare for future commissioning projects as well as work with design teams on substation projects.
This position requires an understanding of substation physical and P&C design. One must also understand protection concepts around bus, transformer, transmission line, and distribution line protection.What we Offer:

The salary range for this position starts at $100,000 - $140,000, depending on relevant experience, education, and qualifications. Overtime is available while in the field. We also offer profit sharing bonuses to share in the success
