    OVERVIEW OF POSITION:


    The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for the clinical supervision of the Mental Health Therapists and participates in program planning, monitoring and program evaluation.

    The Clinical Supervisor attends weekly supervision with the Director of Clinical Services and coordinates weekly team clinical consultations.

    The Clinical Supervisor also assists the Director of Clinical Services in meeting all clinical requirements pertaining to the Outpatient Mental Health Clinic and the provision of data collection, interpretation, and reporting.

    Additional duties include but may not be limited to the ability to assess data reflective of the consumer's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each consumer's requirements relative to his or her age, specific needs, and to provide the appropriate and applicable care as needed.

    The Clinical Supervisor will also be expected to provide crisis assessment and consultation as applicable; and collaboration with the clinic team members as applicable in planning for the consumer's care and achieving treatment goals.


    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


    Provide direct staff supervision of per diem clinical social work staff including performance monitoring and evaluation as assignedProvide / coordinate weekly team clinical consultation / interdisciplinary meetingsAct as point person for coordination of work with other systems touching the child's life - care management, casework in particular.


    Provide direct care services to clients:
    developing assessments, group, individual and family counseling, and review of clinical service plans as applicable.

    Provide consumer crisis intervention and crisis coverage as applicableServe as a back- up for intakes and crisis coverageAssist Director of Clinical Services in implementing departmental policies and procedures, program development, conducting departmental quality assurance projects, and monitoring daily operation.

    Act as a resource on client treatment issues for Clinical Director including staff development needs.
    Monitor and participate in family conferences, observe workers overall relationships with clients and other systems.
    Monitor the quality of treatmentMonitor the timely submission of all paperwork.

    Conduct an at least monthly review of progress notes and casework contacts for each assigned staffMaintain and monitor case recordsAct as a resource on client treatment issues for Clinical Director including staff development needs.

    Maintain and disseminate educational information and provide group training to staff on a variety of relevant clinical issues.
    Updates job knowledge by participating in continuing educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

    Master's Degree in Social WorkLCSW requiredKnowledge of the Child Welfare System is desirable4+ years professional experience with emphasis on diagnostics and a team approach preferredAbility to work some evening and weekend hours, including on-call consultationOutstanding writing and communication skillsProficiency in Spanish preferredFull
