Nelson's Catering - Grill Specialist

Full Time

Exceptional, seasoned candidates only need to apply for skilled grill and cook position.

Specialist will utilize and manage patented Nelson's PORT A PIT grill for highest quality and delicious cooked product.  Permanent position, with a varied schedule based on event volume and serve times.  Grill Specialist will float into kitchen and be cross trained across all operational duties. 

Requirements:

Weekend availability 

Attention to detail, able to follow detailed instructions/cook schedule

Excellent Time management skills

Focus on quality and consistent results

Efficient, able to handle large volume of product per event

Flexible Schedule with open availability 

Mechanical skills to service, maintain, and clean grills weekly 

Managers kitchen certification preferred, but not required upon hire 

Clean background and reliable transportation

Able to stand and work outside year round

Reliable transportation

Must be able to lift 50lbs 

Nelson's Catering is proud to serve the highest quality grilled products throughout Central IL.  We've been serving award winning catering for over thirty years throughout Central IL.   Extensive training on the Nelson's patented Port A Pit patented grill system provided upon hire. 

Full time employees have access to Health, Dental and Vision coverage.  Nelson's also provides SIMPLE IRA, Paid Time Off (accrued) and paid vacation after one year of service.  The position is paid hourly at $22.00 per hour PLUS hourly tip pool.
