    SIGMADESIGN has collaborated with a global company seeking an experienced Reliability Engineering Manager to join their facility in Gresham, OR. This company has been operating for over 50 years and is recognized as the world's leading synthetic diamond and super-materials producer.     Primary Function:
    The Reliability Engineering Manager will serve on the leadership team responsible for the operation of a state-of-the-art laboratory grown diamond manufacturer. This position will lead a team of Engineers responsible for ensuring high reliability and availability of a broad range of Chemical Vapor Deposition equipment and supporting mechanical, electrical, and high purity gas infrastructure.

    Essential Job Functions - Responsibilities:
    • Create a Zero Harm mentality towards Health and Safety within the Equipment Engineering team.
    • Manage a team of Equipment Engineers tasked with the development and implementation of Asset Preventative Maintenance Strategies in line with best engineering practices; execute against these Strategies and drive continuous improvement at all levels within your team.
    • Be a key member of the site leadership team and ensure that the Equipment Engineering team's KPI's are delivered upon in order to achieve the overall Site Targets & Objectives.
    • Coach, mentor, and manage the performance of the Equipment Engineering team.
    • Participate as a member of the OEE Team to report issues, solve problems, and drive improvements.
    • Coordinate with outsourced providers such as the Facilities team, Building Management System providers and various Automation partners.
    • Utilize data systems and machine learning at your team's disposal to develop robust predictive maintenance systems.
    • Providing Leadership and an approach to operating within a Mission Critical environment with a focus on a detailed and robust planning methodology prior to execution of work packages while maintaining 24/7 operations.
    • Lead projects and deliver fundamental long-term improvements in equipment performance.
    Education and Experience: (Knowledge, skills, & abilities)
    • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline.
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in an Engineering role with preference for prior experience leading teams of professionals
    • Ability to work in a fast-moving work environment. Comfortable with leading change.
    • Provides clarity and responsiveness to customers and partners (internal and external). Understands the customers underlying needs and problems.
    • Makes clear, timely decisions and gives explicit and clear guidance. Decisions are focused on increasing or improving the company's options and are owned.

    • Self-motivated and comfortable taking on responsibility. Demonstrable experience of mentoring managers and engineers.

    • Successfully pass a post-offer background check.
    Work Environment
    Standard lab/production environment. Appropriate safety garments (PPE) must be worn. Occasionally may be required to work in environmental conditions that emulate typical user environments in order to facilitate design testing and validation. Occasionally may be required to travel as required to other facilities, clients or suppliers. Must be able to stand and work as long as 12 hours in different positions. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
