    Job Description


    American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical/Surgical Tele position requiring a DC RN license, night shifts, and two years of Med/Surg Tele experience.

    Responsibilities

    • Work in the Intermediate Care (IMC) unit of a hospital setting
    • Medical/Surgical Telemetry patient population
    • Three 12-hour night shifts per week
    • Uses Cerner EMR system with required experience
    • Patient care delivered in accordance with IMC protocols
    • Deliver competent, efficient, and compassionate direct patient care to meet the needs of patients and families
    • Conduct initial and ongoing assessments, including admission assessments and system reviews, with timely and accurate documentation
    • Apply knowledge of growth and development for age-appropriate nursing care
    • Must live at least 25 miles from the hospital given updated traveler mileage requirements
    • Adhere to all relevant patient safety, documentation, and quality standards
    • Position requires COVID and flu vaccination documentation

    Requirements

    • Active DC RN license required at the time of consideration
    • Minimum two years of recent Med/Surg Tele experience in a US hospital required
    • Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required
    • Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program
    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) highly desired
    • Cerner EMR experience required
    • Physical and legal ability to work night shifts and comply with all credentialing requirements
    • Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification mandated by position
    • Must provide US Social Security Number
    • Must provide at least two supervisory or managerial references from the past 12 months, with one from the most recent employer
