    Job Overview:

    • This position is part of the Accounting Department, Finance Division of The Company.
    • The Accounts Payable Technician performs duties that contribute to the success of invoices being paid timely and accurately, while maintaining a good working relationship with vendors, colleagues across departments, and internal team members.
    Responsibilities:
    • Manage email inbox where invoices are received, process invoices intake, make first assessment on whether invoices meet general requirements, and communicate with vendors promptly if necessary.
    • Route invoices to appropriate levels of approvals and manage status of invoices.
    • Enter invoices in accounting system.
    • Communicate to Project Managers In-charge and Contracting Officers when issues arise that need prompt attention.
    • Serve as a point of contact to vendors to answer inquiries regarding invoice and purchase order details, payment status, etc.
    • Assist with other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
    Required Qualifications:
    • Associate's Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Ability to respond to common inquiries from vendors and customers, regulatory agencies, and colleagues.
    • Ability to effectively present information to management.
    • Desired Qualifications Experience that provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position.
    • Adobe and Oracle familiarity preferred.
    The hiring range for this position is $27 to $32 per hour. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity, and may also vary depending on candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience amongst other factors.
