- This position is part of the Accounting Department, Finance Division of The Company.
- The Accounts Payable Technician performs duties that contribute to the success of invoices being paid timely and accurately, while maintaining a good working relationship with vendors, colleagues across departments, and internal team members.
- Manage email inbox where invoices are received, process invoices intake, make first assessment on whether invoices meet general requirements, and communicate with vendors promptly if necessary.
- Route invoices to appropriate levels of approvals and manage status of invoices.
- Enter invoices in accounting system.
- Communicate to Project Managers In-charge and Contracting Officers when issues arise that need prompt attention.
- Serve as a point of contact to vendors to answer inquiries regarding invoice and purchase order details, payment status, etc.
- Assist with other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
- Associate's Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries from vendors and customers, regulatory agencies, and colleagues.
- Ability to effectively present information to management.
- Desired Qualifications Experience that provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position.
- Adobe and Oracle familiarity preferred.
