Overview/ Job Responsibilities
Sev1Tech is search for a Senior System Administrator to support the design, implementation, and operation of a network prototype called meshONE-T, a scalable, resilient, cyber-secure data transport network to support the portfolio of United States Space Force (USSF) missions and Air Force ground systems.
meshONE-T is the ground component of the larger meshONE concept and will eventually integrate with the Air and Space components of meshONE to provide an end-to-end network solution across all mediums, environments, and warfighting domains.
Overview:
The Senior Systems Admin will work at the customer location in LA AFB, CA and support the meshONE-T contract.
Job responsibilities:
Speaks to and collaborates with a variety of people, such as clients, vendors, management, and information technology (IT) staff during the creation and maintenance of a system.
Manages and monitors all installed systems and infrastructure for adherence to company guidelines or SOPs.
Provides requested information, feedback, and evaluation for development design and implementation within the meshONE-T systems.
Understand, monitor, report on, and gather data from critical meshONE-T systems infrastructure.
Performs quality control procedures to ensure systems are efficient and operational.
Collaborates with other professionals to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Deals with work process optimization and physical connectivity for project success.
Remote hands support on LA area meshONE-T node locations.
Salary Range:
125k- 145k
Minimum Qualifications
10 years IT experienceCompTIA Security+ Certification.
Experience with connecting Servers and Storage appliances to Networking equipment with both Copper Cat5/6 and fiber.
Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows and/or Linux environments.
(Active Directory/Exchange/ADCS/PKI)Knowledge of virtualization and containerization basics (e.g., basic understanding of VMware or VirtualBox).Knowledge of storage architecture (NAS/SANS)Experience with monitoring systems.
(ServiceNow/Elastic)Security hardening of Information Systems (Linux/Windows/Endpoints)Microsoft endpoint manager (WSUS)Basic scripting skills (e.g., shell scripts or command line).Basic networking knowledge (OSI layers, TCP/IP).
Eligibility/Clearance Requirements:
Must have an active DoD TS/SSBI clearance.
