    **Department:** Health & Sanitation Svs: H.I.S.

    **Status:** Non-Exempt

    **1. Job Purpose/Objective:**

    Cleaners shall be responsible for all aspects of cleanliness and disinfection of all surfaces and items related to this agreement during its execution, to include but not limited to all ancillary equipment related to the collection, storage, and transportation of test samples.

    **2. Essential Job Functions:**

    Incumbent may perform any or all of the following:

    Ensure all required areas are cleaned and sanitized.

    Maintain a high level of precaution while cleaning costly articles.

    Clean and disinfect ancillary equipment.

    Using general cleaning equipment and chemicals properly.

    Remove waste and rubbish from the designated area.

    Clean and sanitize surfaces including doors, door frames, around light switches, and partitions.

    Sweep floors or if carpets, vacuum in office and public area as required

    Mop or clean tile floors in office and public area as required

    Communicates with Managers verbally and through written communication throughout the shift to ensure proper notification and follow through of assigned tasks

    Report any damages, maintenance problems or safety hazards to the Supervisor.

    Maybe assigned other duties as needed by the Luau Manager on duty.

    **3. Essential Skills (Minimum qualifications individual must possess when entering position) i.e. skillsets, education, certifications, etc.**

    Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.

    Minimum 18 years of age.

    Fluency in English and Japanese both verbal and written.

    Provide legible communication and directions.

    Ability to:

    **4. Working Conditions/Job Environment**

    Must be able to stand, walk and sit for extended periods of time.

    Job involves working:

    + under variable temperature conditions (or extreme heat or cold).

    + under variable noise levels.

    + outdoors/indoors.

    + around fumes and/or odor hazards.

    + around dust and/or mite hazards.

    + around chemicals.

    Walking, standing, kneeling bending, pulling, pushing

    Lifting and carrying (Up to 75 pounds)
