The Assistant Professor in Nursing assumes a leadership role in the program and courses of which they are teaching; demonstrates teaching excellence; participates in recognized activities of scholarship; participates in service within the College and in the community; and is a member of a professional organization.
The Assistant Professor demonstrates implementation of the mission, vision, goals and values of the College as well as the philosophy of the division in which he/she is assigned.The Assistant Professor assumes an active role in the systematic evaluation of the program/College and accreditation activities.
The Assistant Professor is responsible for development, planning, implementation and evaluation of the theoretical and clinical/lab components of assigned courses.

Nursing Program:Minimum of a Master of Science in Nursing and licensure as a registered nurse in Nebraska or compact state required.Minimum of three years experience in field of practice required.Minimum of one year of teaching in higher education academic setting preferred.
