    Job Title: Board-Certified Internal Medicine Physician

    We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Board-Certified Internal Medicine physician to serve as the Medical Director of our Adult Health Center, a teaching clinic for internal medicine residents. The successful candidate will also assume the role of Associate Program Director of Ambulatory Medicine under the guidance of the Internal Medicine Program Director.

    The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in primary care and education within Internal Medicine. They will be responsible for supervising all aspects of the clinic, teaching and supervising residents in primary care, and developing and teaching the ambulatory medicine curriculum of the residency program.

    About the Position

    • This is an outpatient-only opportunity with the possibility of some inpatient work based on individual preference.
    • The clinic is located less than 1 mile from the hospital.
    • The position includes 40% administrative time.
    • We have a team of 26 residents, with 6-7 residents on call at any given time.
    • Residents take first call and are scheduled in groups of 2-3 for each clinic session.
    • We offer phlebotomy services three days per week.
    • Residents participate in quality improvement projects in the outpatient setting under the mentorship of our experienced physicians.
    • We update and teach the ambulatory medicine curriculum to residents, adhering to ACGME guidelines.
    • As part of this role, you will teach weekly didactics to residents during the ambulatory block.
    • You will work closely with our Practice Manager to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, including the Joint Commission.

    Responsibilities

    • Mentor residents in Quality Improvement projects in the outpatient setting.
    • Update and teach the Ambulatory Medicine curriculum to residents, adhering to ACGME guidelines.
    • Teach weekly didactics to residents on the Ambulatory Block.
    • Work with Practice Manager to assure compliance with all regulatory agencies (Joint Commission) and provide oversight to participation in quality assurance programs.
