Job summary
The Grocery & Wellness Department Manager supports the daily operations of the grocery, wellness and health & beauty departments ensuring shelves are well stocked employees are supported and customers receive excellent service.
- Monitor stock levels order product and ensure timely replenishment.
- Oversee receiving procedures verify accuracy of deliveries maintain organized back stock areas ensure proper product rotation FIFO identify low-stock items overstocks shrink issues train coach support staff in daily tasks create schedules assign work based on department needs promote positive collaborative work environment maintain clean well-organized shelves displays ensure signage price tags sale tags accurate assist with department resets seasonal changes new product placement assist customers finding items answer product questions resolve customer concerns escalate when necessary ensure adherence food safety sanitation company policies maintain safe working conditions report hazards promptly strong leadership communication organizational skills proficiency inventory systems handheld scanners basic computer tasks ability lift up to 50 lbs perform physical tasks extended periods attention detail prioritize fast-paced environment supervisory experience preferred required years grocery retail experience education/experience.
