    THE POSITION


    • Responsible for all aspects of plant facility maintenance activities for the plant, including reliability, preventive and predictive maintenance programs.


    • Manage the performance of our Maintenance Technicians and team processes as well as conduct employee dialogues, personal development and coaching.


    • Align with Manufacturing Engineering and Supply Chain for storeroom and spare parts inventory.


    • Scheduling and planning holiday shutdown maintenance.


    • Responsible for Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance.


    • Manage capital projects from conception to completion.


    • Coordinate, plan, and supervise the installation and moving of plant equipment.


    • Interface with the plant engineering department about the preparation and execution of plant projects and equipment installations.


    • Manage drinking water and wastewater systems per state and local requirements.


    • Translate plant facility management strategy and contribute to strategic and operative planning of the plant/operations unit (e.g. with respect to investments, capacity, and headcount planning) into action plans and ensure implementation.


    • Ensure the achievement of facility management targets according to internal and external customer expectations.


    • Initiate and implement continuous improvement activities by applying CBS or Lean Manufacturing methods and training measures.


    • Initiate and control investments for facility equipment (e.g. energy supply, steam generation, emission treatment, etc.).


    • Interface to segment, BU, or division functions in order to gather local facility management requirements.


    • Participate in and/or steer global or local facility management-related and cross-functional projects.


    • Financial responsibilities for Facility Management cost centers.

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS


    • Bachelor's Degree in technical or related degree


    • 3 + years of supervisor experience within a manufacturing environment.


    • Demonstrated basic computer skills in window-based programs and internet skills.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Cross-functional experience e.g. in engineering, quality, purchasing or CBS preferred.
    • Degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, or energy supply
    • Strong planning and organizational skills
    • Strong work ethic, good judgment, and decision-making abilities
    • Prior facility management experience
    • Experience mentoring others or in a leadership position, preferably in operation units with functional and disciplinary responsibility for other individuals.
    • Experience in rubber and plastic production processes
